Episode #2. Season send-off.
For the final segment of the Super 14 season, Matty & Patty are still stuck in Reds camp at Ballymore. This week, prior to the Highlanders clash, they have roped in Captain Will Genia, and young stalwart Hooker James Hanson, for some wit and a little conversation, as well as a tour of the Queensland training facilities.
What a season it has been for the Queensland Reds. The players, staff and administration have toiled, hurt, won and then lost, but can now stand tall – yes, they probably won’t make it into the remaining 4 teams and to a semi-final playoff and yes, the trophy cabinet will still remain empty this season…but in Matty & Patty’s minds, the Reds should definitely enlist the cleaning team to find the keys, open that cabinet and get in there to remove the dust…because Glory ain’t far away. This team, no, this juggernaut, have all epitomised the Chase for Glory this year – and as a result, they have brought Rugby back to the corporate corridors & school tuckshops of Queensland. After Saturday night, Matty & Patty, like the rest of Queensland, will wait impatiently for the return of the Reds in 2011…

Good on ya boys. Keeping the reds hopes alive. Will be great to see chibba get a run this weekend. If he is half as good at playing footy as throwing smack the reds are assured a victory
Can’t believe how tiny Genia is but that he can bench 180. Nor the chat Chippa threw. Great to see the inner workings of the Red House. It’s not hightech is it?

Thanks for the comments so far boys. We love Chibba’s chat, and we too are astounded that Genia can bench his body weight x 2, plus we’re pretty keen to see some hellish running rugby from the Reds tomorrow night.
Just watched the Tahs play effin awesome to beat the Canes. Mitchell, Beale; 2 a piece. Turner: enterprising. The entire fwd pack. Commendable. The ref… Still don’t know why a player gets penalised for being on his feet with his hands on the ball…
